Description:

China, cast mark in archaic seal script to the base, 18th c.
H. 25 cm
Bulbous body decorated with two bands of stylized dragon scrolls in relief, separated by a narrow band of tendrils inlaid in silver. At the shoulder a pair of lion masks with moveable ring handles. The neck with further finely decorated leaf-shaped reserves and repeating ornaments in gold and silver inlays. All raised on a splayed foot. Surface polished and covered with dark brown to reddish brown-green patina, inside earth deposits and encrustations.
